Teh first post omg
Well, here it is. I finally gave in a got a blog. This is the best site I could find; people have been pestering me to get a LiveJournal/MySpace/Xanga/whatever the hell, but I’ve refused and gone for one of the other sites. I hate community websites like LJ and MySpace. To me, the reason to have a blog is to say stuff you want to say, not to form communities with a bunch of other people who also have blogs. It’s all about the me, here. Besides, MySpace’s design is absolutely hideous. With Blogger, I found some software that I’m using right now to update without going to the website, so that’s good.
I am so ultimately proud of myself for the title of this blog: “Great Minds Think Different”. It combines an adaptation of the famous proverb “great minds think alike” with my catchphrase and online persona. This suggests that I’m a great mind, because I think different and I am ThinkDifferent. Plus, I think great minds think different more than they think alike. What makes a great mind is the ability to think of things that nobody else has ever thought of before – different things, in other words.
So yeah, I think that’s enough for now. Right now there’s a bunch of people at the house who are total Luddites and already disdain me enough for just having a computer, let alone using it to publish my random thoughts to the entire world. I actually disdain myself for that last part, somewhat.
Final note: all of Tool (the band) is now belong to me. “Lateralus” is a definite contender for the highest-quality album I’ve ever heard. They’re tough to headbang to, though. On Lateralus’ title track, the drummer plays one measure in 9/8, the next measure in 8/8, and the next measure in 7/8, then repeats that. The man is absolutely ridiculous.
OK, that’s seriously enough. I might get addicted to this stuff if I’m not careful.
